Early summer 2018
The sauna pier was finally renovated! The collaboration between Näpsä and Mökkikeskus resulted in a really sturdy alternative that better resists the forces of nature. In one day, the old one was demolished and the initial part that follows the shore was built.
Then, on the second day, a new one was brought in to replace it. It sounds easy and quick, but it took time. There were six boat trips of just over three kilometers.
And we had to keep adjusting the schedule because the weather forecast was unreliable.
Unfortunately, the pier didn't last long on our shore, and after a few years it had fallen apart. Then it was completely renovated
