June 2026

The weather has been quite nice in June and converting tree trunks into firewood has meant regular visits to the cottage. After Midsummer, the boat's tank was almost empty and had to be filled.

In between the wood-cutting and other chores, there is also time for relaxation, especially since the new solar power system controller was put into full operation. You can evaluate much more of different function variables with the mobile app, although the most important thing is of course the usability of the equipment.

During most of the visits, breakfast is postponed until we reach the cottage, and then we have a lot of energy, best used for cleaning out the storehouse.

There is no point in keeping unnecessary things, a lot of them are from before we owned them, but we haven't bothered to take them away. Now the guiding principle is to always bring at least two bags of trash with each visit.

Wooden logs break down into firewood really easily and it may be possible to get dry wood for next summer by building a stack on the wall of the storehouse.

The storehouse immediately started to look better when most of the usable material was put on the shelves.

The memorial plaque for Nöpö and Mikke is also back in place, the outside of the rowing boat has been cleaned of lichen and is ready for a fitness trip. It's a bit crowded at the pier, but we'll manage.
