April - May 2008
This year the winter was mild and the month of April was really warm. Last year we were forced to move our boat station some miles further to Tyynilahti (Calm bay), which was still in ice at the end of April. But on May Day we could get the boat from its winter location. Although, this time it was the last with this boat, as a day later we received a new (used) boat. With Silver Colibri and 20 hp Yamaha we are able to move more swiftly to the island, even on a more rough weather.At Kuikanpesa everything was OK, the platform was in good condition and the batteries with the solar system where charged. The leaves were quickly removed from the main premises. The water level was record high, but it should correct itself within the month.
