In 2018 the ice melt away quite late and it wasn't until May 8th that we we able to visit the island. The boat engine was finally serviced properly, and everything on the island was OK. And our Loons had also arrived.
But they had managed to make their nest right by the row boat pier, which caused some action as you can see below.
