Spring 2026
The winter was short this year. Already at Easter, we had to go to see if we could bring the boat in from the winter storage, but finally we got the boat on April 20. A strong north wind postponed the trip to the Loon Nest to the next day.
Everything was fine on the island and the water level in Kivijärvi was at a good level, even though the news talked about the nationally surprising lake water levels.
The removal of the broken spruce tree leaning against the shed was still unresolved. Fortunately, the situation had not worsened.
The cottage had wintered inside without small outsider visits and was ready for the new season again.
During our 25-year time there has not been many new cottages on our four-kilometer boat ride. But now, halfway along the journey, four new holiday destinations appeared to be being built.
