Reconnaissance trip to the countryside
On Tuesday we decided to go later in the afternoon to look at the rural villages near Ha Noi a bit
closer. Sini and Jari had visited an interesting place together while hashing, so we decided to go
there.
We decided to stop right away on the way to look at water buffaloes. The main reason, of
course, was to get Sini to ride one. In the first picture, he seems to really accept the idea and then
starts to approach.
But because the water buffaloes had not been asked, an unpleasant shift of the target to the right occurred.
The only thing that helped was to get back into the car. And then it happened that we couldn't continue on the same road as before and went the other way. On the way, we saw a more detailed view of a traditional cement factory, which was first mistaken for a brick factory.
We traveled some distance along a narrow village road and a group of children came running to the stop. And you can't believe the commotion and the need to perform when they noticed our video camera.
After the filming was over, Mr. Thang was asked which TV station it would be on and he proudly announced that the show would be on our TV tonight. And yes, it was a live show in the best sense of the word.
This village also had a good-sized limestone mountain with a large cave inside. It had apparently been made a long time ago as a shelter and contained numerous old monuments.
As we walked through the village, we saw many people who were at least as surprised as we were at them. Even in one quiet place, we managed to cause traffic chaos, the consequences of which Jari and Jonna present to Antti.
And then we started to get a little thirsty and didn't we ask Thang to find a nice cafe? After a few rounds (by car and along the village road) we found ourselves at Hot cafe, where we tasted the local plum cake.
the cafe owners watched with interest and finally had to ask Thang to explain what it was all about. And of course we had children nearby again, wondering about the Westerners (Tay).
After a short and cheap (2 cocista and 1 bread = 2 FIM) refreshment break, we went to see other places and found ourselves in a new hilltop location, where there was also a guard and guarding the deciduous trees. Then there were banana, bamboo and other green trees and the air was really conducive to feeling good.
We also found an old cave, which was apparently no longer used for anything. But still, it was easy to find some glimpses of life in a Stone Age world. Of course, getting back into the car quickly brought us back to the 21st century.
